Ralston marks Day of Mourning with Surrey ceremony
Surrey Whalley NDP candidate Bruce Ralston marked the National Day of Mourning with two minutes of silence at a noon hour ceremony today. He was joined by a number of union representatives including from CUPE Local 728, ILWU Local 502 (Longshore), Retail Wholesale and COPE 378.

Last week they were strangers but today Dusko Milojka and Gurdeep Singh Bhatti are affectionately called by Ralston campaign staff as BFFs —“best friends forever.”

Bruce stands up to Campbell's Finance Minister
Speaking on the CKNW show today, Bruce went toe to toe with Campbell's Finance Minister in support of average people living in Surrey Whalley and around the province.
Bruce repeated the NDP promise to finally allow people to earn a decent wage by doing away with the $6 training wage and raising the minimum wage to $10.
Bruce gave a firey response on Campbell's plan to sell off our rivers to private power and reminded listeners that BC Hydro and our public system has kept rates low and is a great competitive advantage.
